Ieri, Mercoledì 10 Dicembre, sono state annunciate le nomination per la 24esima edizione dei SAG Awards. Tra i favoriti Lady Bird, Three Billboards e GLOW.
Tra i premi più prestigiosi dopo gli Oscar, i SAG Awards rappresentano di solito un’accurata previsione di chi riceverà successivamente l’ambita statuetta. Ormai arrivati alla 24esima edizione, sono arrivate le nomination per il 2018.
Tra i favoriti per quest’edizione spiccano Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, che ha ricevuto ben quattro nomination nella categoria film. Poi anche Lady Bird, che di nomination ne ha ottenute tre.
Passando alla TV invece, un’accoglienza entusiasta ha ricevuto GLOW, la serie Netflix sul mondo del wrestling femminile, che ha ottenuto quattro nomination. Anche Big Little Lies ha ottenuto una certa attenzione, con quattro dei membri del cast che hanno ricevuto nomination individuali per la loro performance. Una scelta del genere avrà sicuramente peso nell’assegnazione dei premi perché, come ricordiamo, i SAG Awards non distinguono tra attori protagonisti e non protagonisti nella categoria TV.

L’edizione di quest’anno sarà trasmessa su TNT e TBS Domenica 21 Gennaio e a presentarla sarà Kristen Bell. Durante la trasmissione Morgan Freeman riceverà un premio alla carriera.
