Spopola Gravity con 11 nomination. Sono state annunciate poco fa le nomination per i prossimi Oscar, giunti alla loro 86 edizione, che si terranno presso il consueto Kodak Theater. Oltre al già citato Gravity, la giuria, ovvero i membri dell’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, ha nominato per 10 premi a testa 12 Anni Schiavo e American Hustle.
Per quanto riguarda i registi rientra nella cinquina anche Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street), unico dubbio pre-nomination, assieme ai suoi colleghi Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity), Steve McQueen (12 Anni Schiavo), David O. Russell (American Hustle) e Alexander Payne (Nebraska). Esclusi Greengrass (Captain Phillips) e Jonze (Her).
Esclusa invece dalle nomination Emma Thompson per la corsa al premio come miglior attrice che vede tra le protagoniste due abitué come Amy Adams e Meryl Streep, la seconda certamente più abituata della prima. Come miglior attore resta escluso invece Tom Hanks (sia per il suo ruolo come non protagonista in Saving Mr. Banks che per quello da protagonista in Captain Phillips) a scapito di Christian Bale (American Hustle) e Leonardo DiCaprio (The Wolf of Wall Street).
Pesante l’esclusione di Hans Zimmer, autore delle musiche di 12 Anni Schiavo, per il premio alle colonne sonore e quella della canzone Young and Beautiful di Lana Del Rey tra le migliori canzoni originali.
Infine il premio che per l’Italia è forse il più importante: miglior film straniero. La Grande Bellezza rientra, come prevedibile, tra i papabili vincitori e dovrà avere la meglio su due concorrenti di tutto rispetto come Il Sospetto e Alabama Monroe. Si ripeterà l’impresa del Golden Globes anche durante la notte degli Oscar?
