Dopo che Michael, Whistler, Mahone, Lechero, T-Bag e Bellick si sono riuniti per decidere il da farsi, Linc va a fare visita al fratello. Michael gli dice che sono in ritardo sul programma e che si sono accodati anche altri nell'evasione. Mentre tutti lavorano allo scavo, la pioggia insistente comincia a penetrare nel buco: per evitare che collassi il tunnel l'evasione dovrà avvenire il prima possibile, durante la notte anziché l'indomani. Mentre McGrady chiede nuovamente a Michael di partecipare alla fuga, Sucre si incontra con Susan e la donna gli mostra la bomba che ha trovato nell'auto e gli offre un'ultima possibilità per evitare che Maricruz venga uccisa. T-Bag suggerisce a Lechero di lasciare indietro Scofield mettendo al sicuro la loro evasione. Sofia viene rapita dagli uomini di Susan la quale invita Linc ad un appuntamento. Grazie a Sucre, Michael riesce a scoprire il nome del generatore di riserva che fornisce l'elettricità a Sona; chiama quindi l'assistenza e viene a sapere così il tempo che intercorre prima che si attivi: 30 secondi. In presenza di Linc, Susan telefona a Whistler e gli ordina di consegnare loro le coordinate sotto la minaccia di torturare Sofia. Nonostante Michael gli dica di non dire loro le coordinate, l'uomo in preda al terrore cerca di rintracciarle attraverso i suoi appunti. Più tardi avviene un incontro tra lo stesso Whisterl, Michael, Linc, Susan e Sofia ma l'uomo, nonostante abbia scoperto le coordinate, decide di non rivelarle. Susan gli concede allora altre 24 ore. Michael, seppur a malincuore, accorda a McCrady il "permesso" di partecipare alla fuga. Dopo aver manomesso una jeep delle guardie, Sucre viene fermato all'interno del carcere: facendo dei controlli, Jorge Rivera - il nome che ha adottato per lavorare come becchino- risulta infatti essere un ricercato. Michael informa gli altri che il tempo che hanno a disposizione per fuggire da Sona è di soli 30 secondi. Linc, dopo aver dirottato un autobus, abbatte un palo dell'energia elettrica. E' perciò giunto il momento di evadere...
