Sono passate otto ore dalla fuga e Michael, Lincoln, Sucre, C-Note e Abruzzi tentato di sfuggire alle guardie che li inseguono. Al Fox River intanto, giunge il brillante agente dell'FBI Alexander Mahone che poco dopo tiene una conferenza stampa rassicurando gli americani che i fuggitivi sono i massimi ricercati nel Paese e che saranno catturati nel più breve tempo possibile. Le condizioni di Sarah appaiono critiche in seguito all'overdose; tuttavia, la mattina seguente si risveglia dal coma e viene a sapere che è coinvolta nelle indagini sull'evasione. Veronica si confronta con Terrence Steadman e lo convince che la cosa migliore sia quella di uscire allo scoperto chiamando la polizia. T-Bag, messa la mano tagliata in un frigo da viaggio, si reca presso un medico veterinario della zona con l'intenzione di farsela riattaccare. Anche fuori dal carcere, Michael riesce a prendersi gioco delle guardie: l'unico che però sembra tenergli testa e capire le sue mosse è l'agente dell'FBI che esaminando le foto dei suoi tatuaggi a poco a poco cerca di ricomporre il suo piano all'interno e, soprattutto, fuori il Fox River, il piano cioè che ha costruito per andare a Panama. Lincoln telefona a Veronica: in quel momento bussa alla porta della casa-bunker di Steadman un gruppo di uomini vestiti di nero che anziché aiutare la ragazza la uccide immediatamente e si sbarazza subito dopo del suo corpo.

Terrence: Self preservation is a strong motivator...
Veronica: So is the truth!

Lincoln: "Archie Ryan"?
Michael: You see mine? "Phineas McClintock".
Lincoln: Wow, and these?
Michael: Keys to a car that's waiting for us... couple hundred yards from here.
Lincoln: That a 2 of us or 5 of us.
Michael: That's a 2 us.

Veronica: Oh my god.

Mahone: Scofield had the entire thing on his body. How to get out of that prison, how to disappear afterward. It's all there. I promise you that it's only a matter of time before we know everything that is in Scofield's head. Where he plans to run to, how he plans to get there. So when the time comes that he does get there, we'll be waiting for him.

Sucre: What are you thinking about?
Michael: Mistakes.
Sucre: You had to do it.
Michael: Not like I did. I ruined her life.
Sucre: Well there's nothing you can do about it now.
Michal: That's not true.
Sucre: You fell for her, huh?

C-Note: We need to go east, my family's back in Chicago!
Abruzzi: Think the cops don't know about it? You think they're not just sitting there waiting for you to come running back home? What's the matter with you?
Sucre: What about New York?
Abruzzi: What about it?
Sucre: My girl's pregnant, bro!
Abruzzi: Understand your love is your weakness right now, and they know about it.
Michael: Doesn't mean it has to stop you. Just gotta be smart about it.

Mahone: Scofield designed the tattoo, not you?
Tattoo artist: He brought the entire thing in, every element. I mean, look at it, it's the friggin' Sistine Chapel.

Lincoln: We got half the country after us. We're not making it to Panama, or Utah, without help.
Michael: Veronica can't help us.
Lincoln: Look, you say that…you're gonna need money, clothes –
Michael: I already got all that.
Lincoln: I thought the plan was Abruzzi's jet.
Michael: The jet was plan A.
Lincoln: Then we've got –
Michael: Everything we need.
Lincoln: Where?
Michael: Storage.

Lincoln: You really think the money is gonna be there?
Michael: Charles might have had a flexible relationship with the truth, but at the end...at the end there'd be no reason for him to lie about it.

Mahone: The problem I have with being on a trail, is that by definition, we're always behind the prey.
Bellick: We'll see about that.

Detective: Not the kind you'd expect to get that much ink.
Mahone: Not the kind at all.

Mahone: Maybe you can tell me about Dr. Tancredi.

Mahone: From what I'm hearin', she may have abided the escapees. Opened the door that allowed them to get out.
