Felicity Huffman ha guadagnato nel 1999 una nomination al Golden
Globe per il suo lavoro nell'acclamata serie della ABC "Sports
Night". Recentemente ha recitato nel telefilm drammatico di
showtime "Out Of Order" con Eric Stoltz. Per quanto riguarda i
film, la Huffman ha interpretato vari ruoli, come nella commedia
di successo "Rasing Helen", “Christmas with the Kranks”, “Transamerica,”
come anche “Magnolia,” “Arlington Road”, “The Spanish Prisoner” e
“Reversal of Fortune” . Sul palco è apparsa nello spettacolo di
David Mamet "Speed-the-plow" e ha lavorato anche molto col marito,
William H. Macy, in molti ruoli come "The three sisters" e "Boy's
Life". Nel 1997 Felicity ha vinto un Obie per lo spettacolo di
Brodway "Cryptogram". Ella è una delle fondatrici, insieme a Macy
e Mamet, dell'Atlantic Theatre Company. I suoi ruoli in
televisione comprendolo ruoli regolari in "Frasier", "Law & Order",
"X-files", "West Wing" e "Chicago Hope". Ella è anche apparsa in
molti film per la tv, tra cui “Path to War,” “A Slight Case of
Murder,” “Door to Door” e “Reversible Errors.” . L'attrice ha
vinto l'Emmy Awards, l'oscar della televisione americana, come
miglior attrice protagonista in una serie commedia. Nel 2006 ha
vinto il Golden Globe come miglior attrice in un film drammatico (Transamerica)
dove interpreta il ruolo di un transessuale.
