TRAMA
: Mama Solis si sveglia dal coma, ma dopo essersi svegliata,
cade dalle scale dell'ospedale e muore. I residenti di Wisteria
Lane attendono i funerali di Juanita, e mentre si sta svolgendo il
funerale Carlos e Gabrielle litigano. Lynette fa amicizia con una
donna sordomuta, Alisa Stevens, che ha la figlia a scuola con
Porter e Preston, ma la nuova amicizia si rompe quando Lyentte
s'intromette nella relazione tra la donna e il marito. Intanto,
Bree ha ancora più problemi con il figlio e così decide di
mandarlo in un istituto di disciplina per aiutarlo. Alla fine,
Susan si trova attratta dall'ex fidanzato di Edie, quando lo viene
a scoprire, si rovina la loro già debole amicizia.

Quando l'episodio fu trasmesso in Inghilterra la frase di Bree fu
cambiata e da " I Cattolici sanno certamente come essere
addolorati" a "Gabrielle e Carlos sanno sicuramente come essere
addolorati". Anche in italia è presente questa frase. Questo
cambiamento per rispetto nei confronti del papa morto.
- La guest star Marlee Matlin che interpreta la non udente Signora
Stevens è anche nella vita reale non udente. A discapito del suo
handicap lei ha avuto una carriera di grande successo in film e tv
per più di 15 anni, è apparsa in un vario numero di telefilm di
successo, come il ruolo regolare in "La famiglia Broderick -
Picket Fences" e " The West Wing".
- Nella versione originale Bill e Susan dovevano avere un
incidente con la macchina di Edie.
- In aggiunta agli attori regolari Marcia Cross e Doug Svant e le
guest star Steven Exkholdt e John Haymes Newton, Mark L. Taylor è
ora la 5 star del telefilm anni 90 della fox "Merlose Place" ad
essere apparso in "Desperate Housewives". Anche in Merlose Place
interpretava il ruolo di un impiegato ospedaliero.
